Ricardo Wolfson
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He got his degree in architecture at the University of Buenos Aires in 1974. Immediately after that, he set up an architect’s office with two partners and carried out several architectural projects before going to Europe in 1975. In the course of his constant trips, he began to make drawings for fun. In Patmos, Greece, he realized that he could also start painting. The first public exhibition of his paintings was actually in that island. During the ten years that followed, he returned to Patmos in search of its peace and beauty several times.
He started working as a professional artist/painter in 1979-80, his main theme being the Mediterranean Architecture.He then made his first important exhibition in London, “The Architectures of the Sun”, at Christie’s Contemporary Art, Other exhibitions in several European cities as well as in Japan followed.
